Mayor honors Girl Scouts

Mayor Habib was joined by local Girl Scouts and troop leaders at October’s City Council meeting to proclaim Girl Scout Day (Oct. 31) and Girl Scout Week (Oct. 8-15) in the City. The Mayor praised the Girl Scouts for continuing to give girls “the opportunity to learn, grown, learn leadership and become confident.” Today, more than 59 million American women are Girl Scout alumnae, and 2.6 million girls and adult volunteers are active members nationally.
