Goose Creek history lectures begin Oct. 11

Former Goose Creek Mayor Michael Heitzler has accepted an invitation from Mayor Greg Habib to lead a Goose Creek Recreation class this fall celebrating the history of our City.
Dr. Heitzler will present seven historical lectures at the Goose Creek Community Center beginning on Thursday, Oct. 11, and continuing every Thursday through Nov. 29, with the exception of the Thanksgiving holiday on Nov. 22. The lectures will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 11, 18 and 25, and Nov. 1, 8, 15, and 29.
Dr. Heitzler’s lectures include an in-depth look at the area’s history, from the first settlers in the Lowcountry to modern day Goose Creek.
The lectures are open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
