  • Dec 26 2019

Congratulations to Brian Goetz, who has been named the City of Goose Creek’s 2019 Employee of the Year.

Brian is a groundskeeper at the City’s Recreation Department. His responsibilities include the maintenance and preparation for athletic fields.

Recreation Director TJ Rostin calls Brian a valuable team member whose great attitude and dedication to the Recreation Department is unmatched. “Brian is a very hard worker who takes a lot of pride in his work,” he said. “He strives to keep our fields in top condition both for appearance and overall safety.  He is always trying to make positive changes to our facilities to ensure that our participants are playing on the best fields in the Lowcountry.

“He does whatever he is tasked with and he does it at the highest level possible. He is always approaching work with a smile on his face.”

During special events, Brian approaches his responsibilities with a positive attitude and a commitment to help.

In addition to being a great employee, Brian volunteers as a coach, and spends countless hours after work helping the youth participants in our community.

Goose Creek Mayor Greg Habib presented Brian Goetz with the 2019 Employee of the Year Award at a recent employee banquet. Each City Department chose an employee of the year, and the overall winner was chosen by City Council out of those top employees.
