City honors 2023 employee of the year

Danny Vitello, a Code Enforcement Officer with the City of Goose Creek, was named our 2023 City Employee of the Year at last night’s Council Meeting.
Danny’s work ethic, can-do attitude and infectious personality make him an incredibly valuable part of the City’s Creek Compass team. Mayor Habib told last night's audience that Danny always goes the extra mile. The Mayor shared a story from earlier this year when Danny saw two residents in need, and helped them carry a refrigerator into their home.
“That’s not part of his job, but it’s part of his mission to provide the highest level of service to the people who live here,” the Mayor said. “We appreciate you and what you do for us. You are making a difference.”
