Night resurfacing to begin at Hwy. 176 and 52
May 14 2019
The City has been notified that a South Carolina Department of Transportation road resurfacing project will take place over four nights, from May 14 to 19, from the intersection of Hwy. 176 and Hwy. 52 to around 500 feet past Button Hall Avenue. The work will be done at night, beginning at 9 p.m. each night.
This is a “micro-surfacing” project that involves placing an additional surface over the existing roadway. It is applied in order to help preserve and protect the underlying pavement structure and provide a new driving surface. One lane of traffic will be closed at a time while the work is completed, beginning with the north bound lanes.
