Mayor proclaims 'Judo Week in the Creek'

The week of April 7 to April 13 has officially been proclaimed “Judo Week in the Creek” by Goose Creek Mayor Greg Habib.
Mayor Habib and City Council were joined by members of the Samurai Judo Association at the April 9 City Council meeting. The proclamation recognizes Judo as a popular and demanding Olympic sport that teaches many valuable character attributes such as self-discipline, patience, self-confidence, courtesy, humility and physical fitness to students of all ages.
