Are You O.K.? Program

The purpose of the Are You O.K.? program is to better serve the needs of our senior and shut-in populations by way of an automated welfare check program.  Eligible citizens enrolled in the program receive an automated telephone call each day at a predetermined time.  If the call goes unanswered, the communications center will attempt to contact the resident by phone.  If contact cannot be made, a police officer will be dispatched to the residence for follow-up.

Eligible participants include City of Goose Creek Residents who:

  • Are over the age of 65
  • Have a medical or mental condition that requires the applicant to be confined to their residence
  • Have any other condition as deemed appropriate by the program administrator on a case by case basis
