FINGERPRINTS & RECORDS
The records window is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The records section coordinates and/or provides the following services:
Fingerprinting Services
(**Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. only**)
Citizens who wish to be fingerprinted must provide fingerprint cards from the organization or entity that requires them to be fingerprinted. Fingerprints are taken by trained civilians and/or police officers on a first-come first-serve basis so please allow ample time in your schedule.
City residents $5 per card
Non-City residents $10 per card
Criminal Records Checks
City of Goose Creek criminal records checks can be requested at the records window. Criminal records checks can usually be completed while you wait. This is contingent upon the records section's workload and staffing and cannot be predicted. To expedite the process, download the records check form and fill out the requestor information and acknowledgement of limitations sections prior to your arrival.
City residents $2
Non-City residents $4
Crime and Traffic Collision reports
Crime and traffic collision reports for the preceding 14 days are available upon submission by the investigating officer to the records section.
The following fees apply:
Crime report victims (as indicated in the report) and not at-fault parties (as indicated on traffic collision reports) or their parent/guardian, if juvenile, free of charge All other parties must pay the established per-copy rate of $.15.

Reports generated beyond the preceding 14-days are available in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) as described below.
Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
The Goose Creek Police department, in good faith, abides by both the spirit and letter of the Freedom of Information Act (Sections 30-4-10 through 30-4-110 of the S.C. Code of Laws 1976, as amended).
Upon written request, we will attempt to provide single and/or readily retrievable documents while you wait. Such requests are charged only the $.15 per-copy rate.
Requests that involve extensive research, collection, and preparation will not be fulfilled while you wait. In such cases we will prepare an estimate of anticipated costs based upon the established hourly rate for the processing clerk's time and the per-copy rate of $.15 and notify you as soon as practicable but within the 15-day window provided by the Act. The estimated cost must be paid prior to the research, collection and preparation of the documents requested.

We will expend our best efforts to accommodate you within the confines of the law.
