Without a clear direction it is difficult, at best, to provide the essential public services and guidance for a growing, maturing community. To this end the Mayor, City Council and staff have actively engaged in a strategic planning process for the past several years. The strategic planning process is conducted over a two (2) day period where departmental briefings are presented, key community issues are identified and explored and goals and objectives are established. The preceding Vision Statement, Mission Statement and Goals and Objectives are products of the strategic planning process, and provide clear direction for the Goose Creek Community.
3-Year Planning Process
Year 1 – Strategic Planning Workshop conducted off-site with an outside facilitator. Board and Commission members invited to participate
Year 2 – Strategic Planning Workshop with Key Communicators invited to participate.
Year 3 – Strategic Planning Workshop with Citizen Advisors invited to participate.
