ARTICLE IV: ADOPTION OF RULES & REGULATIONS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL
Section 11- 4.1.: THE ADOPTION OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL.
Section 11-4.1.1
a) There are hereby adopted and made part of this chapter as fully as though set out at length herein all the provisions and requirements of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and found in the Code of Laws of South Carolina as amended in reference to:
- Eating and drinking establishments and other retail food establishments
- Food processing plants
- Sanitary control of the manufacture, distribution and sale of frozen dairy foods and frozen desserts
- Milk and milk products
- Nuisances
- Sanitation of schools
- Soft drink bottling plants
- Venereal diseases
b) A copy of such provisions and requirements shall be kept on file in the office of the City Administrator and in the office of the City Clerk at all times. It shall be unlawful for any person to fail, neglect, or refuse to comply with the provisions and requirements hereby adopted.
Section 11-4.1.2
FOOD HANDLING ESTABLISHMENTS
All food handling establishments may be inspected at such times as designated by the City’s Code Enforcement Officer.
All food handling establishments shall adhere to the State and County health rules and regulations.
Section 11-4.1.3
BURNING GARBAGE, etc.
It shall be unlawful for any person to burn garbage, leaves or rubbish of any kind or amount, either inside or outside of garbage containers, without the written consent of the Fire Chief or Duty Officer of the City Fire Department.
Section 11-4.1.4
ABANDONED WELLS (SAME AS CURRENT SEC. 11-8)
It shall be unlawful for any owner, agent or tenant to permit or allow any abandoned well to remain open and unprotected, on any place or premises owned or occupied by such owner or tenant.
