Daniel Ben-Yisrael joined the City of Goose Creek in March 2006. As City Planner, it is Mr. Ben-Yisrael’s responsibility to help guide the growth and development in Goose Creek, and maintain a visually appealing community. Mr. Ben-Yisrael will ensure that all new construction complies with zoning ordinances by working closely with residents and business owners. He also serves as staff to the Architectural Review Board, the Goose Creek Planning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Mr. Ben-Yisrael is a native of Berkeley County, and was drawn back to the area by the opportunity to be part of a growing City with a strong history.

“I look forward to helping guide the City through this period of tremendous growth, and to facilitating quality development,” said Mr. Ben-Yisrael. “The things we do today will help ensure the preservation of our small-town character and the conservation of our natural resources for years to come.”

Mr. Ben-Yisrael has a BS from Virginia State University in Public Administration. He has worked as a zoning consultant and planner in Virginia and Massachusetts.
